💎 Application of Acrygel AIB by Purple Professional

Acrygel AIB from Purple Professional is a hybrid formula combining the strength of acrylic with the flexibility and smooth application of builder gel. It offers exceptional durability, control and stability — ideal for natural nail overlays, structured manicures, and short to long extensions.

With a thick, non-self-levelling texture, Acrygel allows precision sculpting without running, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced nail technicians.

If applied correctly, AIB provides:

  • High strength and stability

  • Controlled shaping

  • Long-lasting wear without lifting

  • Natural-looking structure and apex

  • Minimal filing

✨ Step 1 — Prepare the Natural Nail

As with all enhancement systems, proper prep is essential.

  1. Sanitize hands

  2. Push back and clean cuticles

  3. Remove cuticle residue from nail plate

  4. Lightly remove shine using a 180/180 grit file

  5. Remove dust

  6. Apply Nail Prep

  7. Apply the correct primer depending on nail type:

Nail Type Recommended Primer
Normal/regular nails No Acid Primer (TPO Free)
Thin, oily, lifting-prone nails Primer SOS
Maximum adhesion/high-wear clients Bond Promotor

Make sure the nail remains matte and clean before application.

✨ Step 2 — Apply Base Coat

Before working with Acrygel, apply:

  • Elastic Base or Fiber Base (depending on nail strength)

Cure according to Purple Professional curing time (usually 30–60 seconds LED).

This creates a bonding layer between natural nail and AIB.

✨ Step 3 — Place Acrygel on the Nail

Using the metal spatula from the AIB system, pick up a bead of product.

Apply directly onto the nail — do not smooth with the bottle brush.

AIB is thick and will stay where placed, allowing full control.

✨ Step 4 — Shape Using Slip Solution

Dip a brush into Purple Professional Slip Solution, remove excess, and begin shaping the product.

Technique:

Tap gently around the cuticle zone

Push product into position

Float across the center to build apex

Drag toward the free edge for balance

Apex placement should follow natural nail structure and length.

Once satisfied with the shape, cure fully for 60 seconds.

✨ Step 5 — Refining (If Needed)

Acrygel often requires minimal filing due to controlled shaping.

If refining:

Use a 180 grit file

Maintain apex and structure

Ensure smooth cuticle zone finish

Remove dust before continuing.

✨ Step 6 — Colour or Top Coat Finish

Choose final result:

✔ Natural Overlay

Apply Top Coat 2-Way No Wipe for high shine
or
Velvet Top Coat for matte finish → Cure fully.

✔ With Gel Polish

Apply colour in thin coats, cure between layers, then seal with top coat.

✨ Step 7 — Final Touch

Finish with cuticle oil to moisturise and protect the surrounding skin.

Your result should be:

✨ strong
✨ structured
✨ smooth
✨ natural-looking

and highly durable.

🧪 Common Mistakes to Avoid

🚫 Using too much Slip Solution (creates pores)
🚫 Flattening the apex
🚫 Over-filing the natural nail
🚫 Touching the skin with product
🚫 Thick gel polish layers over AIB

Correct application ensures durability and prevents lifting.
