Materials You Need

• Nail Prep
• Primer SOS or No Acid Primer
• Bond Promotor
• 180 grit nail file
• Elastic Base or Fiber Base (recommended as a reinforcing base)
• Builder Gel (clear or color)
• Gel Polish (optional)
• Wonderful Shine Top Coat

Step 1 — Prepare the Nail

Proper preparation is essential for adhesion. Follow these steps exactly as recommended by Purple Professional:

1. Remove the shine from the natural nail using a 180 grit file.
2. Do not use a buffer or block, as this may over-polish the nail plate.
3. Apply Nail Prep to gently dehydrate the nail and let it air dry for 30–60 seconds.
4. Apply Primer SOS or No Acid Primer depending on the nail type and let it air dry.
5. To maximize adhesion, apply a small amount of Bond Promotor and let it air dry for 30–60 seconds.

Step 2 — Apply the Builder Gel

This is the core of the application and must be done carefully to create correct structure and apex.

1. Apply a thin, stretched layer of Builder Gel (slip layer) and cure in LED/UV for 60–120 seconds.
2. Apply a second generous layer and shape the gel to create the apex and structure.
3. Cure again in LED/UV for 60–120 seconds.

Step 3 — Optional: Apply Gel Polish

If desired, apply two thin layers of Gel Polish over the builder structure, curing each coat for 60–120 seconds.

Step 4 — Finish with Top Coat

Apply Wonderful Shine, the official Purple Professional top coat recommended for builder gel finishes, and cure in LED/UV for 60–120 seconds.
